Global leader debuts Vietnam’s first ever 64 MP smartphone
Ho Chi Minh City, 10 October 2019: Global technology leader Xiaomi today rolled out its latest suite of offerings for Vietnam in an event held in Ho Chi Minh City, which included the launch of Vietnam’s first ever 64 MP camera.
The Redmi-series was the star of the show, with the company setting a new standard for affordable photographic power in Vietnam with the launch of the 64 MP quad-cam Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi Note 8. It also debuted its entry level Redmi 8.

The company, which shot to number 3 in the Vietnamese market in Q2 of this year, has consistently delivered high performance devices to the country at honest prices, and the country has snapped them up willingly.

Redmi Note 8 Pro: Xiaomi crowns a new mid-range smartphone king
The Redmi Note 8 Pro boasts a first both for Vietnam and for Xiaomi with the first-ever ultra-high resolution 64 MP primary camera which captures images that can be printed up to 3.26 meters tall. This billboard-in-your-pocket power is backed up by a 1.6 μm 4-in-1 Super Pixel that captures more light for bright night shots. Rounding out the quartet is an 8 MP ultra-wide angle camera with 120 degree field of view, a 2 MP macro camera and a 2 MP depth sensor.
